dc.description.abstract Many Institutions of higher learning in developing countries are adopting and implementing cloud computing in their efforts to provide information technology support necessary for administrative, educational, and research activities. Cloud computing delivers on demand provisioning of IT resources on a pay per use basis. This study discusses the adoption and implementation of Cloud Computing using the TOE framework. To achieve the purpose of the study, a critical analysis of relevant literature was conducted. An overview of the institutions technological, environmental and organizational issues that need consideration is done and suggestions for adoption and implementation strategies made. The study concludes that the TOE Framework is appropriate for the technological adoption of cloud computing in institutions of higher learning. en_US
