COMPARATIVE STUDY OF CHEMICAL CONSTITUENTS ~ IN CEMENT FROM EAST AFRICA AND BAMBURI PORTLAND CEMENT COMPANIES

Abstract

In this project, cement samples were obtained from Bamburi and East Africa Portland cement factories situated in Machakos district. The cement sample were taken to the laboratory where they were analyzed. The methods employed for analysis were flame photometry, U.V spectrophotometry, gravimetry and titrimetry

Comparison of analytical results between cement samples from Bamburi and East Africa is done in the discussion. The quality of cement will depend on the quality of material used for manufacture of the product.
